Resch Note* 6 March 1815  Research Note: David's father is named as Thomas Tatham on his marriage, but the baptism in 1815 is to William & Sarah. Therefore some doubt as to who was David's father. Are Thomas & William the same person? Thomas is shown as a carpenter on the marriage certificate. William is found as a carpenter in the census. There is no sign of a likely Thomas in any census (or other record). Curious!2

He was enumerated with his wife Phillis Lievers, Sarah Taylor, John Taylor, William Taylor, Zachariah Taylor and James Taylor. James Taylor was actually Sarah's son, Benjamins grandson, not his son. Next door but one to Oliver Leivers, Phillis' brother, and next door to son Benjamin jnr's family.5 
Cen-Househ 3 April 1881  He was head of the household in the 1881 UK Census of Newthorpe, Greasley, NTT as Benjm. Taylor, head, married, age 76, colliery banksman, born West Hallam, DBY. He was enumerated with his wife Phillis Lievers, John Taylor, Sarah Phillips, age 22, Benjamin's grandson. Next door but one to Ediwn Kirk (nephew-in-law), and next door to son Benjamin jnr's family.6 
Death* before 18 March 1899  From the burial record, Benjamin Taylor died before 18 March 1899.7
