James' children: Lydia marries James Taylor, brother of Phoebe Clifton (who marries Stephen Pearce Stapleton). John's children: Stephen Pearce Stapleton marries Phoebe Clifton (before his marriage to Phoebe Drabble). Phoebe marries George Clifton, who is the son of Phoebe Clifton, who later married Steven Pearce Stapleton (before his marriage to Phoebe Drabble). In 1861, Lydia is recorded as Lydia Clifton, as she is with her mother and step-father.3,4 | |
