Albert E. Hooper A.S.C., husband of Mrs Hooper of Spring Gardens Tewkesbury. He was 30 years of age, and the son of Mr and Mrs James Hooper. He attended Kemerton and Bushley schools as a boy, and before joining the army in June 1915, was in the employee of Miss Saunders grocer, Tewkesbury. He leaves a wife and two children. Deceased was accorded a military funeral, the first part of the service being held at Tewkesbury Abbey and the remainder at the Cemetery, where the Rev. P. W. Low officiated. A number of discharged and demobilised soldiers under Sergeant Major Curtis preceded the coffin and the "Last Post" was sounded at the graveside.26,24 |
