They had already baptised a John in 1814 in Turkdean (and that John was still alive). I was expecting a Charles in 1818, as his age would indicate this should be Charles' baptism. As John is not reference again, I suspect this was Charles' baptism - they renamed the child Charles after the baptism.1,2 |
